Manchester United Soccer Schools - Crosshaven 8th & 9th July 2010

Manchester United will return to Crosshaven on the 8th/9th July 2010 with a new Player Development course - once again places are limited so early booking is advisable as the course never fails to sell out. Crosshaven is the only Cork venue for the Manchester United Soccer School for 2010.

Course cost is €84.95 for Boys/Girls aged 6-16.

Rules & Regulations

                    1 Eligibility

                (a) The soccer course is only open to participants aged between 6 and 18 years of age.

(b) We may require additional information from a participant depending on the medical information supplied to us before we can accept a booking.

(c) The course must have a minimum of 80 participants to be split within the following age bands (unless otherwise agreed between us):

                Age Bands 6-8, 9-10, 11 - 12, 13 - 14,15-16

(d) You must ensure that there are at least 12 participants and no more than 16 participants within each age band for that age band to be coached.

2 - The course

(a) We will deliver, subject to you fulfilling your obligations and subject to the required number of booked participants, a three day coaching course at your facility.

(b) This will be a comprehensive tailored coaching programme based on the MUSS Development Model relating to all aspects of your club.

(c) We will use state-of-the-art coaching equipment in the delivery of the three day course.

(d) Daily sessions will begin at 9.30am and will finish at 3.30pm.

(e) Please note that Manchester United players do not attend any of our courses.

3 - What we require from Crosshaven AFC:

(a) You agree to provide the following:

(i) two suitable grass soccer pitches or equivalent size area. These areas need to be maintained with the grass cut to playing length and free from any hazardous objects and substances;

(ii) access to an indoor facility for registration and to deliver our wet weather programme or quiz if needed;

(iii) changing and toilet facilities. Access to the changing areas and secure building is required for the participants (children) to change and leave their personal belongings in e.g. bags, coats, footwear, lunch and drinks; 

               (iv) exclusive use of the facility for the duration of the three days to ensure all OFSTED        and CHILD PROTECTION requirements are met;

         (v) access to the grounds / playing fields from 07.30am to 5.00pm each day; and

   

 (vi) assurances from the facility that there will be no maintenance work which will interfere with participants whilst we are on site for the required duartion of the course(b) We do not allow any video or other filming or recording equipment on courses and accordingly neither you nor the participant may record or attempt to record (whether permanently or transiently) or transmit moving images or voices of anyone at the course. You may take still photographs at times indicated by us within the program schedule, provided that they are only used for private purposes.

4 - Added benefits

(a) In addition to the soccer coaching we will provide:

(i) an exclusive MUSS giveaway package for each participant which includes a Manchester United Soccer School Player Passport (a written analysis of identified strength and improvement areas);

(ii) two tickets to see a match at Old Trafford to be won in our raffle;

(iii) an invitation for two participants to be invited to play on the Old Trafford pitch;

(iv) an invitation for two club representatives to attend a MUSS Workshop at a Manchester United facility;

v) a coach/parent evening session detailing how top youth teams prepare, play and recover from training and matches; and

(vi) marketing materials (posters and flyers) to help promote the event.

 

5 - Cancellation and expulsions

(a) We reserve the right to cancel the course or one of the age bands at any point due to insufficient numbers of participants booked or due to you not meeting your obligations under the terms of this agreement.

(b) We treat as a priority the safety and well being of all participants attending our courses. We reserve the right to remove from the course without refund, any child who is in our sole determination bullying, misbehaving or disruptive.

(c) You can cancel the course by notifying us in writing up until 3 months prior to the scheduled course start date without liability. We will withhold your deposit if you cancel after this time.

(d) In the event of cancellation, participants booked on the course will be given the opportunity to either transfer to a nearby course or to receive a full refund.

6 - Skills Competitions

(a) The Skills Challenges and any other competitions that we may run within any of our courses are operated at our entire discretion and in all matters (including disputes), the decision of our judge(s) shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

 

(b) Any prizes offered are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.

(c) We cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by anyone entering any competition or as a result of accepting any prize.

(d) All Competition winners must be accompanied by one adult and will be responsible for all additional costs and expenses associated with attending the final and organising their own travel.

7 - Liability

(a) We recommend that all individuals attending this course have effective travel, personal possessions and medical insurance policies in place. We also recommend that you carry comprehensive general liability insurance covering bodily injury, death, property damage and personal damage, issued by a responsible insurer.

(b) We do not accept responsibility for any death, personal injury or loss of or damage to property other than to the extent that it results from our negligence.

     

  1. (c) Subject to clause 8 (a), above, our maximum liability to you in respect of the contract for the supply of the relevant course shall not exceed the total fee paid by you for the course.

     

(d) We will not be liable to you for:

  1.  

       

    1. (i) losses which were not foreseeable by us and you at the time the contract for the supply of the relevant course is made; or

       

  1.  

       

    1. (ii) trade or business losses (including loss of profits and consequential losses such as loss of goodwill and loss of reputation).

       

8 - General

(a) Neither you nor the participant shall disclose or use any aspect of our course for commercial purposes.

(b) You shall not grant or otherwise permit sponsorship, suppliership, advertising, "virtual" advertising or promotional rights or benefits in relation to the course.
